Another great San Francisco museum is the de Young Museum in Golden Gate Park featuring American paintings, sculptures, African, Oceanic and New Guinea art collections, and more. The de Young Museum is a must see for those who appreciate fine art.
For a great birds eye view of the city, stop by the Coit Tower. This 210-foot tower resembles a fire hose nozzle that stands in tribute to firefighters. The vibrant murals in the lobby depict scenes from the 1930s and if you’re not feeling like climbing the 400 steep steps up and down the tower, an elevator goes all the way to the top.
Ready to warm up? Stop by the Buena Vista Café (2765 Hyde Street) and cozy up with a cup of its famous Irish coffee. Buena Vista has served more than 30 million Irish coffees and they make them at a rate of a quarter million a year.
